Some Polisario armed forces desert to rejoin AQMI

It has, henceforth, become a certitude that the strong links between certain radical elements from the Polisario Front and Al Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQMI). Since two years, the legal action taken in Nouakchott has shown without ambiguity that many military executives from the guerrilla movement have joined the terrorist movement and have become engaged in kidnapping European citizens among whom three Spanish humanitarians kidnapped next to Nouadhibou in November 2009.
A  testimony damning Omar « the Sahrawi », with his real name Omar Ould Hamma, confirms that this former high officer has bought about 100 liters of petrol “paid with euros” near Nouadibhou, few hours only before the kidnapping of the NGO humanitarians “Barcelona Accion Solidaria”, while Omar “the Sahrawi” maintained hard that he was in Mali during this period.
The Polisario shadow hovers over these recent kidnappings achieved by AQMI in Mauritania, but also in Mali, since the second accused person in the Nouakchott legal action, is Mohamed Salem Ould Ehmouda, non-commissioned officer still working with the Polisario, who has been arrested while he was “on leave”.

The succession of Ali Beiba reveals the real reason behind his assassination

The succession of Mahfoud Ali beiba at the head of the Sahrawi Parliament in exile, has led to a terrible arm-wrestling between members of the Polisario leadership. Those who continue accusing and the others who are responsible for the murder of Ali Beiba, precisely to replace him with Khatri Adouh.
The latter, who has just been appointed President of the Sahrawi National Council (Parliament), is known for his rigid position and his hostility towards the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco for the Sahara. Qualities for which he is particularly appreciated by DRS  senior officers, the dangerous Algerian military intelligence services.
On the opposite, it is the absence of these features in his character which has confirmed the destiny of Ali Beiba, killed probably poisoned by the DRS. The Algerian officers could no more bear this conciliatory position with Morocco. The visit paid by the two daughters of Ali Beiba to their family members in Rabat, in the course of the year, was the straw that breaks the back of the Algerian higher officer from the military intelligence services.

A sound recording confirms the assassination of N0.2 in the Polisario

The stir caused by the enigmatic death of the Polisario leader Mahfoud Ali Beiba, is still going on. The declarations of an influential Sahrawi in Tindouf camps, made in a sound recording, brought surprising revelations about the mysterious death of Mahfoud Ali Beiba, N0. 2 in the Polisario.
The recording of this Sahrawi’s declaration, he who is close to the Polisario leadership, reveals that the first to have disclosed the death of Ali Beiba, is the Polisario leader, Mohamed Abdelaziz. The latter has called, Friday 2nd July, the brother of the deceased who is living at present in Laayoune, in Morocco, to inform him of the death of Mahfoud Ali Beiba. The Polisario Chief has explained to him that Ali Beiba has died in his house at Rabouni, in Tindouf camps. But, this same Mohamed Abdelaziz will give another version to the cousin of the deceased. A declaration opposite to the first one, Mohamed Abdelaziz maintained that Ali Beiba was quietly taking his tea with him and other Polisario members when he stood up to leave, before he fell down dead. The end of the recording explains that the confusion of the Polisario leader was such that he limited himself afterwards to invariably repeat to the other members of the deceased’s family, that Ali Beiba was dead of a simple heart attack.
